For more than 150 years, Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School has nurtured the spiritual, moral, intellectual, and physical growth of more than 19,000 students. Guided by the vision of St. John Baptist de La Salle, the De La Salle Christian Brothers and their lay partners have fully preparing students for future leadership and stewardship roles in the Church, community, and nation.
Each year, Loughlin attracts some 850 culturally and religiously diverse students, primarily from the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens. Most come from 72 Catholic parochial, private, and public elementary schools in the two boroughs, with a small number from Manhattan, Staten Island, and Long Island. Fewer than 10% of our students’ families are capable of paying tuition without assistance of some form.
