Daniel Salvaggio

Daniel Maher

Lasallian Volunteers have served at La Salle School since 1993. Currently, second year volunteer Daniel Salvaggio and first year volunteer Daniel Maher both work in the residential placement center for court adjudicated boys, ages 12-18, serving through campus ministry, outdoor adventure programs, campus sports, and other enrichment activities.

La Salle School is a large, residential, and community based child welfare agency in the heart of the capital of New York, offering a small city feel with some big city opportunities. The staff of 190 employees at La Salle School includes teachers, social workers, administrators, child care workers, support services, medical care, and mental health professionals. It is a very experienced group of dedicated individuals who represent a range of ages, interests, and backgrounds.

Those who serve at the La Salle School bring their care, skill, and expertise to their work with young men and families throughout New York State who are referred as a result of their involvement in the family court system which requires placement away from home for a period of time. This population is a most needy, most challenging, and most rewarding group of teen agers to work with.
